Five Wednesday Evenings: November 5, 12, 19,
December 03 and 10, 2008 (7:00
– 9:00 pm)
The way we think about our life experiences and understand
reality affects the way we engage opportunities, relate to
events and other persons, and ultimately face the future.
This course will consider:
1. Anxiety’s threat to formative thinking and transcendence;
2. The call to confront the events of our lives
courageously;
3. Our potential for cutting through illusion with
mindfulness and compassion;
4. The grace of openness to what-is-yet-to-be-given.
December 10 will be presented as an evening of reflection
for the Advent Season. The topic will be:
Behold the Servant of the Lord: Doing what we can in hope
and joy.
We invite participants to join us on that evening for a
buffet at 5:30 pm. Advent reflections will begin at 7:00 pm
and include an opportunity for personal prayer and
reflection, ending at 9:00 pm. Whether or not you are able
to attend the previous sessions of the course, you are
invited to join us on December 10 for buffet and
reflections.
